PILLARS OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Pillars of Community Development (PCD) was incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a Company Limited by Guarantee on August 4, 2008. PCD operates as an NGO Micro-finance Institution with the aim of making visible and measurable impact in the battle against poverty. The object clause of Pillars of Community Development includes:
- To promote the empowerment of local community dwellers and community-based organizations.
- To embolden poor women and men through self-esteem enhancing programmes
- To enhance the income-generating capacity of the poor through creation of access to affordable financial services, among others.
NATURE OF BUSINESS
PCD focuses on three major areas which include Financial Assistance, Health and Environment. Financial Assistance includes:

By promoting conservation, PCD helps in protecting the environment, thus preventing the effect of climate change. The Company is also involved in health-care delivery for its members.
