Pillars of Community Development (PCD) currently has a Board of Nine (9) members that accepted to share in the vision to fight poverty through the provision of financial services to the active poor. The Board members are:
DR. EMMANUEL ABRAHAM
Board Chairman, holds a Ph.D in Economics. He has been a banker for over fifteen years before getting involved actively in the promotion of knowledge through the establishment of a first-class group of schools, which includes Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak in Akwa Ibom State. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Governors.

OBONG NSIMA UMOH
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pillars of Community Development (PCD). As a seasoned banker for over twenty years, his core banking areas cover Credits, Treasury, Corporate Finance and Operations. He worked in Union Bank PLC, Prudent Finance Limited, Commercial Bank (Credit Lyonnais Nigeria) Limited and Universal Trust Bank Ltd. His vision is to provide leadership that will create prosperity and lift more of our people out of poverty using the vehicle of PCD. He holds a Ph. D in Geography and Environmental Science majoring in Population, Environment and Development. He is a Life Fellow, Nigerian Conservation Foundation: Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management: Fellow, The Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria: Fellow, Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria and Fellow, Environmental Management Association of Nigeria
MR. RAY EKPU - OON
He’s a journalist, writer and publisher. Due to his contributions to humanity, he was awarded Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He was Co-founder, and until recently, the Chief Executive Officer of Newswatch Communications Limited, Publishers of the defunct Newswatch, a household name in Nigeria journalism.
MR. Bokime Bassey
A Stock Broker, was equally appointed to join the Board of PCD in 2008 as a member. As a businessman of repute, he has over 10 years experience in stock broking. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of BYSEC Investment Limited. Bokime holds B.Sc. (2.1) in Economics from the University of Calabar and M.Sc. from the University of Lagos.
Rear Admiral Ndubusi Kanu (Rtd)
A retired naval officer who has served government in various capacities such as Personnel, Logistics and Training. He was appointed the Military Governor of Imo and Lagos States in 1976 and 1977 respectively. He obtained honorary Doctorate Degrees from Imo State University and Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He is the Chairman of Rangk Limited and a Director of Fidelity Bank Plc.
Mrs. Iquo Udo
Has been able to switch effortlessly from Information Technology to Retail Banking. She had lectured in Enugu State University of Technology before moving to First Bank Nigeria to become the Head, Business Systems Development, Head, Information Technology User Support and then Group Head, Retail Banking. She has an M.Eng in Computer Engineering capped with membership of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is a Managing Partner of Karner Capital Group Inc, USA. Her pet project is aimed at increasing women’s access to financial services in order to empower them economically.
ALHAJI ISA AHMED
has worked with the Civil Service of Plateau State for five years before moving to United Bank for Africa (UBA) where he rose through the ranks to Assistant General Manager. He has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from New York University and is particular about financial inclusion. He is board member, Anchor Pension Managers Ltd as well as Chairman of Boards of Directors of Nasarawa Microfinance Bank Ltd and Kursum Ventures Limited.
Mr. Akpan Ntekpere
He began trading in handkerchiefs with just a dozen, at a capital of 18 Shillings. From this, he expanded into other goods and, through sound business acumen and resilience, eventually bloomed into supermarket chains. Today, the Ntepps Brand is a household name in choice cities in Nigeria. He is the Managing Director of these chains of stores. He is widely travelled. He is interested in seeing small startups bloom.
NSIMA UMOH JNR
Board member, holds a B.sc. in Accounting from the Covenant University, Otta. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He has been a banker for some years before joining Federal Inland Revenue Service. He has attended several training courses and workshops and is currently undergoing an MBA programme in Netherland Business School.
